Who brings emotional security in our life?

Today I am going to talk about inner security. We all must agree that we all need internal security both at physical and conscious levels.

In our early childhood, our mother, the love and affection bestowed by family, our home, and our early education, all these constitute our inner security and well-being. These all contribute to our emotional strength and happiness. When we become young and start exploring the world, we seek happiness in worldly material things such as land, house, vehicles, and other comforts. But the basic need of ours is still to derive internal happiness, emotional strength, and inner security.

As per astrology, the fourth house represents one's most internal happiness, the foundation of all kinds of homes, including the last one -the graveyard. In the 4th house, a person can understand his/ her most deep-rooted feeling. It represents the mother, early education, home, and love and affection of the family. It is the most inward and personal house.

In one's early childhood, the mother plays a very crucial role in shaping one's life, and she is the source of all comforts and emotional security. That's why in all the Sastra's and our philosophy and religion, the mother has given such a supreme position. That's the reason a child is more comfortable with the mother ( in most cases). After marriage, a person's internal security now also determines by one's spouse's Karma or profession. Because remember spouses Karma will be 10th house from 7th house, which will again become our 4th house, the same house of internal security.

For example, nowadays many people prefer working spouses. One reason could be that a person will feel more of inner security if the spouse is working as it will help fulfill desires and dreams, also there is emotional security in unfortunate cases of job loss. Even if a spouse is not working, his/her Karma can still provide inner security either in terms of taking care of parents, children, family, or doing other household chores.

To summarize, the 4th house in one's horoscope determines one's internal security. Before marriage, we derive it mostly from our home and mother. After marriage, our spouse plays a very vital role in determining it. Any affliction to the 4th house or its lord might impact our inner security.
