What are we building for our next generations?

One of the eternal question which as parents we often ponder upon that what are we building for our next generations?

But more often than not the answer to this question is only limited to wealth and anything around wealth such as movable or immovable assets.

But what about other aspects of our lives such as Values and skills. Our values are ingrained in us by our parents, teachers, and elders in the family and which further get enhanced or depleted by our surroundings and Karma as we move in life. But all these get stored in us in the form of our DNA and which gets passed on from generation to generation.

Similar is the case with skills. We must have observed that in a business family, most of the people prefer business, in a service company many generations prefer service, in a defense personnel family, many generations are in defense. Because all these acquired skills & knowledge get ingrained in DNA.

So in these busy lives, we should take a moment to reflect on what are we building for our next generations? Only wealth or wealth along with sustainable values and skills.
