Two biggest sins: "I" and "mine"

In the real spiritual world, "I" and "Mine" are considered two deadliest sins. Because in a spiritual sense, there is no I and nothing is there, which is mine. As Lord Krishna says to Arjuna in Geeta:
"You came empty-handed, you will leave empty-handed. What is yours today, belonged to someone else yesterday, and will belong to someone else the day after tomorrow. So, whatever you do, do it as a dedication to God! "
Similarly, you must have heard about the story of Lord Vamana and great king Bali. When King Bali asked Brahman boy to ask for anything, he only asked for land measuring his three steps. As Bali has already promised and when he realized that the Lord Vamana is none other than Lord Vishnu himself who took the entire earth and heaven in two steps only, he offered his head as the third one. The great king Bali realized that the almighty himself came to teach him the biggest lessons of life and to make him free from two of the biggest sins; I and Mine. In the first two steps, Lord Vamana took everything that was mine, and in the third step, he took me. And then Lord Vamana told him that now since you are free from all your sins, you will become Indra ( the highest order anyone can achieve in humans or Gods) in the next life.
This small story teaches us probably one of the biggest lessons. Only when we leave "I" and "mine"; the two biggest sins, then only we will achieve the true purpose of our lives.
In Astrology Jupiter, the most benevolent planet is considered to be one most important planets to awaken the Spirituality. A well-positioned Jupiter in the birth chart is said to give all the wealth, comfort, and well-being. But at the same time, it wants one to follow the path of the divine, the spirituality, and hence under malefic influences also takes away the things.
For all practical purposes, for common people like us, we can't move away from "I" and "mine". The whole point here to make balance; one should not indulge in too much materiality of only "I" and "me" because when this happens then only even benevolent planets take away things. You might notice almost all the successful businessmen or industrialists are involved in philanthropy work, and most of them go beyond what is required by law. One of the reasons is that they realize that they need to give back to society what they are getting from it. From Spirituality perspective, probably a stage comes in life, where one starts surrendering and goes above and beyond "I" or "mine"
I hope I have given you enough reasons to start thinking beyond "I" and what is "mine".
Stay blessed and keep reading!
