This time shall also pass

Let me start with a story today. Once emperor Akabar asked his most trusted and wisest of the ministers, Birbal to do something, which makes him happy when he is sad and makes him sad when he is happy.
Birbal was very wise. He asked the king to allow him to repaint one of the walls of his palace. Akbar agreed to Birbal's request because he knew something exciting is coming. Birbal got one of the walls repainted and got written: "This time shall also pass." Then Birbal showed this to Akbar and told him that if you are sad, you will realize that this time shall pass and that feeling will make you happy. Similarly, when you are happy, you will realize that this time shall also pass, and that realization will make you sad. As always, king Akbar was pleased with Birbal's intelligence.
One can find similar stories in other religious, spiritual, and other works of literature. But the moral of the story remains the same. One should always realize that time is ticking, and it will swing things of life from one direction to another.
If we try to understand it as per Astrology, then also it makes sense. Moon, which represents our mind, changes its sign in 2.5 days or so, and almost every day, it is in a different Nakshatra. As it moves, our thought process changes, and our perspective changes. Have you realized that thoughts or situation which might stress you one day, the next day you are better prepared to handle that? Have you realized that you were not able to work on a particular thing on one day, the next day you quickly get the solution? As the moon will move to different signs and Nakshatras during the month, thought process changes. It happens because different signs, their lords, planets sitting there, different Nakshatra, and their lords, all of these will keep changing and hence will be giving us different results.
We can add one more layer to it. Sun the soul changes sign every month. Sun gives us life on earth; it provides us energy and vitality. As Sun moves to different signs along with its combinations with the moon, things change for us. There are some months of the year where one tends to get more sick than others, or one feels more restless than others.
If we try to relate the story with the above explanation, we can understand that since both Sun(the soul), and Moon( the mind) is changing sign so fast, with time things will change for everyone. Hence during the dark times without worrying too much, we should keep the hope of good times to come and keep doing good karma. Similarly, when a good time is going on, we should be aware of the fact that this time shall pass, and hence we should be humble, full of gratitude, and prepare ourselves for tough times.
I hope this helps you to keep motivated and navigate the life journey through thick and thin.
Stay blessed and keep reading!
