What is Spiritual transformation? When does it happen? Will it happen to everyone? What am I supposed to do during that transformation? These and many more questions might keep bothering people time and again. Let me try to throw some light on this today, very limited to my understanding and perspective.
Lets first try to understand what exactly transformation is? Like many other words such as strategy, it is quite often misused. Especially in business parlance, people refer to every single action as business transformation. One of the main features of any change is its inherent uncertainty. Critical strategy changes such as diversification, market entry/ exit, product launch/ discontinuation, M&As have some level of uncertainties involved, and hence those might be considered transformational.
What Lord Buddha did was transformational. He not only found nirvana for himself but told the world a new way of living and hence transforming the lives of others. Similarly, what Chanakya did was transformational. He completely changed the map of India forever and taught how battles are won. What Lord Krishna did in the battlefield of Kurukshetra was transformation. He not only gave the pearl of wisdom in the form of Geeta to Arjuna but also to the world. Still, Geeta serves as life-changing advice to many. Similarly, how great emperor Ashoka completely transformed after winning the Kalinga battle. That battle changed him spiritually; he became a messenger of peace and harmony.
Spiritual transformation is one such example. For most of us, there comes a time in life when we start questioning the purpose of life and start seeking answers to many unknowns. Those are times when we have more questions than answers, and there comes a thirst for finding those answers. Quite honestly, that age will vary from individual to individual and will depend on planetary positions in one's chart. And to many, it might not even happen or might not happen so strongly to be noticed, mainly because they might not have this as their Karma for this lifetime. They might have to take rebirth to again go through the same things.
However, most of us will need proper guidance for Spiritual transformation primarily because the process will bring a lot of energy exchange. Without proper guidance, we might not be able to handle the energy exchange. That's probably one of the reasons why earlier, most of the people used to have Guru's in their life who used to show the path of Spiritualization.
Let's hope we all find our answers, and this quest continues. I will add more on this topic later.
