Leadership 101 using Astrology & Spirituality

What comes to your mind when you hear the word "Leadership"? Some of you might relate it with a person about whom you have read, whom you follow, someone whom you have met or worked with.

Below is one such definition which I found very interesting.

"Leadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you want to be done because he wants to do it."

– Dwight D. Eisenhower

Now let's talk about leaders or so-called leaders at the workplace. Are they the real leaders? Questions we should ask to understand are; do they create an inspiring vision of the future, do they motivate and inspire you, do they coach and consult you when you need them as guides?

From mythology and astrology perspective, Mars is considered to be the army chief, whereas Rahu and Ketu are considered more as army personnel. We need to understand this. What does come to your mind, you hear about Mars, martian qualities. Its always in the front, it takes responsibility, initiation and it dares to do it. It has all the required energy and qualities to become a leader. But what about Rahu? It also has leadership qualities, but it is more self-centered. Its always thinking about self first, before thinking about the team. It has its agenda, desires that it works toward to fulfill.

Now imagine working in a team that is led by a leader displaying Mars qualities vs. Rahu qualities. A leader with martian qualities and energies will pep you, lead from the front. He or she will work towards the teams' goals and objectives. You will enjoy working with such a leader. Even though he or she might have "I, me, myself" attitude, but that will be in a positive way. It will be more centered around I want to do this, I want to lead this, and let me handle this. This kind of team not only achieves its result but also enjoys the journey, the teamwork.

On the other hand, a leader with Rahu qualities will put his or her desires and objectives first before thinking about teams. There will be fewer cohorts and more conflicts in such a team. There will be conflicts in ideals and objectives and the team environment will be more suffocative. Even if this kind of team achieves its result, it won't be a fruitful one. One won't relish the memories rather relieve that it has come to an end.

All of you, my dear subscribers and readers, please let me know which kind of leaders you are working with? One who posses Mars qualities or one who posses Rahu qualities.
