Emotional Intelligence , Spirituality and Astrology

Emotional intelligence is a way to be self-aware. You must be wondering what is emotional intelligence and why it is important? Scholars defined Emotional intelligence as the ability to understand and manage your own emotions and of those of the people around you. A leader, in any field, needs to have very high emotional intelligence because he or she not only has to guide one's own emotions but of those of all the people who are following or working him or her.

According to American scholar Daniel Goleman, there are five key elements to Emotional Intelligence: Self-awareness, Self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills.

While each of these elements can be described and explained using Spirituality and Astrology, which I will follow those in my subsequent blogs, yet today I will be relating Emotional Intelligence overall with the Spirituality and Astrology.

In Spirituality our ancient sages and preacher gave major emphasis on attaining self-awareness and awareness about our surroundings. Meditation is one such medium that helps boost our emotional intelligence. Spiritual and mythological texts instill compassion, empathy, and other social skills in us. Most of the great leaders, even from the corporate world, follow very strong spiritual and social practices.

Astrologically, to have strong Emotional intelligence, a person's 4th house, its lord, cancer sign, and Moon should be fine and well placed in the chart. Afflictions to any of these might cause some imbalance in emotional intelligence. More affliction sometimes makes a person very weak emotionally. One can strengthen one's 4th house and moon by doing good deeds in related fields and hence can enhance one's emotional intelligence.
