Anger Management decoded



What is anger? Why someone gets angry? Is it always bad? How to control it? How to channelize it productively? What is anger management? How can astrology explain anger management? I am sure you must have come across these situations and questions sometime in your life.


Without going too much in scholar definition in simple terms, anger is an emotion like any other emotion. It conveys a message that the person might be in an upsetting, unhealthy, unjust, threatening, or uncomfortable situation. It's probably not always bad to vent out anger, but it should not cause harm to self or others. A reaction without hurting self or someone else's feelings is a sign of controlled productive anger.


Anger management is an art of controlling one's anger without suppressing it. The feeling, emotion, and message should come out without hurting anyone and channelize positively. Different scientific and physiological research has suggested many ways of anger management. Few of those are taking a deep breath, walking, counting, stretching or messaging, going out of the situation or room, group conversation therapies, self-talk, and physical activities.


Let's try to understand spiritually and astrologically what's happening here. Usually, anger is associated with Mars, martian energies. Its association with Sun, the authority, and Jupiter the Knowledge can act as fuel to fire. When these associations happen in a fiery sign, chances of sudden outburst is more. Affliction to the above said conditions will add salt to injury. Let's try to understand this with an example.


For Aries's ascendant, if Mars or Sun gets associated with Lagna, many a time person might have a sudden outburst of anger. The best way to deal with this situation is that the person should work towards developing opposing qualities. Mediation, participating in group talks or group activities, deep breath, counting will help in this situation. These will develop balancing energies to reduce the martian energies and hence a person can better control his or her anger.
